KUCHIPUDI is the classical dance form known for its graceful movements, strong narrative & dramatic character and delicacy.
The well-planned training program not only gives opportunity to learn the Dance form but also will expose to Kuchipudi’s Grammar defined in Natyashastra.
Apart from such traditional practices, students will learn to use Kuchipudi as a basis for their artistic and creative vision.
Kuchipudi Curriculum
Beginner level I :This class introduces students to Kuchipudi dance posture and an understanding of basic rhythm and footwork. Students begin the first half of fundamental steps, Prardana shlokas and hastas.
Beginner level II : This class begins focus on development in technique. Students complete the study of all the fundamental steps, Pada Bhedas, Hastas.
Intermediate level I : This class emphasis on technique development and mastery of footwork. Students begin jathi sequences.
Intermediate level II :Students will continue learning Indian dance theory and interpretation, and complete jati sequences.
Advanced level I : This level class emphasizes strengthening of skills and mastery of more challenging movement and vocabulary. Advanced I students start basic items in the Kuchipudi repertoire and begin study in abhinaya.
Advanced level II :The students continue to learn more complex items and study of abhinaya and interpretation of Indian dance theory and culture. Advanced level II students begin perfecting all aspects of dance technique and focus on mastering dance as an art form.
Advanced level III :The students continue to learn and master Kuchipudi as an art form. Students will be given opportunity to volunteer teaching classes, organizing Charity Shows and lead students on specific projects.

Gajjala Puja : Students who enters into Advance Level I will be given an opportunity to be part of Gajjala Puja Ceremony.
Rangapravesam: "Rangapravesam, which means “ascending the stage’ in Sanskrit, is a full-length Solo dance performance when a student is ready to graduate to Advanced level III. It marks the transition of the artiste from a student to a blossoming dancer. This performance demands that the dancer exhibit an understanding of the many aspects of Kuchipudi, from sensitive expressions to intricate rhythm, blending grace and vigor.
Students ready for Rangapravesam are trained diligently for several months on the style and technique of Kuchipudi.
Rangapravesam is not necessarily the pinnacle of the dancer's life, but rather a step towards further endeavors and future challenges in the dance world.
